ข่าวแรงงานข้ามชาติ ประจำเดือนสิงหาคม 2552* ขั้นตอนการดำเนินการพิสูจน์สัญชาติแรงงานพม่าในประเทศไทย ขั้นตอนการดำเนินการพิสูจน์สัญชาติแรงงานพม่าผู้ซึ่งอาศัยและทำงานในประเทศไทยได้เริ่มมีการ ดำเนินการเมื่อวันที่ 15 กรกฎาคม 2009 ภายใต้ข้อตกลงความเข้าใจร่วมกัน (MOU) ที่ประเทศไทย ได้ลงนามร่วมกับรัฐบาลประเทศพม่าเมื่อเดือนมิถุนายน 2546 ซึ่งระบุว่าแรงงานข้ามชาติชาวพม่าที่อยู่ ในประเทศไทยมีสิทธิอยู่อาศัยและทำงานอย่างถูกกฎหมายเมื่อได้รับการพิสูจน์สัญชาติ โดยภายหลัง การพิสูจน์สัญชาติ แรงงานจะได้รับหนังสือเดินทางชั่วคราวซึ่งออกให้โดยเจ้าหน้าที่รัฐบาลพม่า และ การตรวจลงตราโดยรัฐบาลไทย ขั้นตอนการพิสูจน์สัญชาติที่แรงงานพม่าและนายจ้างจะต้องปฏิบัติตามในการเข้าสู่กระบวนการ พิสูจน์สัญชาติเป็นขั้นตอนที่ค่อนข้างซับซ้อน และมีขั้นตอนการดำเนินการตามลำดับ ดังนี้...
