"Momentum is building in the Spring Revolution to dissolve the terrorist Military Council and to establish a Federal Democratic Union. Outcomes for which the National Unity Consultative Council (NUCC), the Committee Representing Pyidaungsu Hluttaw (CRPH), the National Unity Government (NUG) and the Ethnic Brotherhood Alliances have been working tirelessly, and to which all the people aspire. Meanwhile, the terrorist Military Council and its affiliates have been intentionally producing and disseminating misleading, and false news stories, attempting to distort the image of the revolution. Among these are fabricated claims that the National Unity Government has compiled a list of individuals of different political persuasions and held a meeting to decide procedures to endanger their lives. Not only is this categorically false, but we can point to an example eight months ago where a very similar claim was fabricated by a group of individuals and spread among the international community. The National Unity Government considers the military dictatorship leaders, who instil fear and destabilize the civil society, as a common enemy and is striving its best to eradicate any form of dictatorship by upholding the principles of cherishing human rights, human security, and respect and appreciation for political diversity. The allegations described above are being fabricated and disseminated to distort the image of the revolution. They paint a picture which is entirely against the basic principles and policies of the National Unity Government. The National Unity Government does not, has not, and will not engage in any form of underhanded and unethical operations. The National Unity Government condemns any organisation which engages in coercion or rejects diversity of political opinion, and furthermore, the National Unity Government will drive to prosecute all perpetrators in accordance with the law..."
