The statement is as follows: “We resolutely condemn violence by the Myanmar military and police against civilians, and commit to continuing to press for the immediate cessation of violence, the release of those who are detained, and a swift return to democracy,” President Biden and President Moon said in their joint statement. “We call on all nations to join us in providing safe haven to Burmese nationals and in prohibiting arms sales to Myanmar.” H.E. Dr. Sasa stated: “Today I would again like to thank the US and ROK Governments for taking a lead and being an advocate and voice for the people of Myanmar, and offering to provide safe haven to those who have fled for their lives.
