high commissioner for her abiding commitment to
the democratic aspirations and human rights of the
Myanmar people and for her calls to the international
community to directly engage with the National Unity
Government. On behalf of Myanmar, the president also
pledged to continue the nation’s commitment to its
international human rights obligations and requested OHCHR to offer technical assistance to this end......
2. NUG letter expressing gratitude toward all Islamic believers who have joined the resistance against military regime...On Eid al-Adha, the NUG expressed its appreciation for all Muslims who have taken part in the revolution against
the military regime. It is the responsibility of all people to restore justice and to fight for genuine lasting peace.
The establishment of a federal democratic union, for which we are now fighting is the only way to ensure true
and lasting protections for all of Myanmar’s communities, including out Muslims brothers and sisters who have
been marginalised and targeted under the military dictatorship for decades......3. Home Affairs Ministry of the NUG collects valid evidence of two Indian citizens who were murdered and resolves the case system- atically 12/07/2022...Prime Minister Mann Win Khaing Than commented on
the murder of two Indian citizens which took place on
the 5th of July in Tamu town. The NUG previously stat-
ed that evidence has been collected by the Ministry of
Home Affairs and Immigration (MOHAI) on this case,
and their investigation concluded that Mr. P. Mohan
(28) and Mr Aiyanar (35) were shot dead by members
of the Pyusawhti - a paramilitary terrorist group backed
by the military - near Basic Education School No. 4, in
Saw Bwar Ward. The same day, the bodies were cre-
mated by SAC-backed administrators to destroy evi-
dence before the families could sue for the return of
the bodies, or proper forensic investigations could be
carried out.
In the 61st cabinet meeting, the prime minister called on
MOHAI to engage with local authorities and LDF groups
in Tamu to resolve this case, and invited relevant inter-
national authorities to engage with the NUG in investigating and prosecuting this crime. In his concluding
remarks, the prime minister noted that the soldiers of
the Tatmadaw, and their paramilitary allies, such as
the Pyusawhti, and the relatively recent Thwe Thauk
group, have committed many abductions, unlawful de-
tentions, extrajudicial killings, and torture on civilians
across the nation and, left unchecked, will continue to
perpetrate these heinous offences..."
