"Myanmar State Counselor Aung San Suu Kyi has called for working strenuously for genuine peace and in building the democratic federal republic, according to the National Reconciliation and Peace Center (NRPC) Thursday. In her message of greeting, sent on the occasion of the 30th anniversary celebration of establishing peace of the Wa Special Region-2 Wednesday, Aung San Suu Kyi, who is also NRPC chairperson, stressed the need to "move forward from the present stage of maintaining the current ceasefire agreement through mutual restraint to the stage where we should be able to establish sustainable and durable peace for the whole union".
