"This report provides a summary of some of the daily events in villages of Taungoo, Thaton, and Pa'an districts between February and May 1996. It is an update to "Field Reports: Taungoo and Other Districts" (KHRG #96-10, 29/2/96). The information was obtained by KHRG in the form of field reports from human rights monitors and relief workers in Karen districts and from radio messages transmitted by Karen military units in frontline areas. It is far from complete, and should be considered only a representative sampling of the kind of SLORC activities occurring in these areas. Other KHRG reports should also be consulted in order to get a more detailed picture of events..."
