manuscript of the Manugye dhammathat which was completed on 25 June
1782. We shall refer to it as B.1782. Manugye, the best known of the surviving
Burmese dhammathats (law texts), was compiled in the 1750s during the reign
of Alaungpaya (1752?60), the founder of the Konbaung dynasty (1752?1885)..."
