NCGUB PM's Message to 8888 Rallies (r)

In the democracy struggle, we need unity and cooperation but it can be build
only on trust worthiness. The leadership we are yearning for is the one who
is dedicated to the struggle, to the people not only the members of NCGUB, to
the comrades, who is honest himself and lead all to be like him, who is really
interested in the lives of people not only political campaigns for his
popularity, who dares to stand for the truth and dares to correct whenever
something is incorrect, who is really commited to the struggle and finds ways
to support internal movements by all means (not only issuing statements and
giving speeches.), who is down to earth and listens the what people want and
what people want him to do rather than what he wants people to do for him, and
who is always trying to be with the people and learning from the people's
lives.
The leadership that doesn't work is the one who is self-centered, is only
interested in the improvement of an organization rather than the whole cause
or the whole situation, who even if he himself honest, cannot lead and teach
others to become like him, who cannot manage or control even his members, who
doesn't know to listen and analyse what is happening around him, who is
interested in only attending meetings, giving speeches, issuing statements,
and thinking how to generate funds only, and who is not interested in people's
lives.
How can someone becomes a good leader if he or she doesn't know the real lives
of the people and what people want (may know generally) and doesn't know what
is happening around him and where he and his organization is going?
We think that people like the leader who dares to confess the mistakes, is
brave to take responsibility to change it, and who try to learn from the
people.
Issuing statements or giving speeches don't make him real leader except those
may make him just look good in the eyes of funders. There are so many things
need to be done in order to bring unity.
If one leaders couldn't control even his members (he urged them to go to
Australia one by one if they were really dying to go but not to go all at
once, but his members listened his words by doing other way), how he will
leads the people, the struggle, and his followers? How he will change
incorrectness if he always just to follows those who aren't correct?

It is not too late to change the situation and if he dares to stand for the
changes what he needs to do, everyone will certainly accept him as their
leader. There are two alternatives to choose whether just trying to look good
or really try to be real people's leader. Which way?
