Minbya Constituency in his question said that Minbya in Rakhine State is facing the erosion of its
costal areas yearly due to the Laymyo River; that strong current of the river causes damage to houses
and buildings in riverside wards in the township; and asked if there is a plan to take preventive
measures against bank erosions in the township.
Minister for Transport U Thein Swe relied that preventive measures against bank erosions have been
taken in Minbya from 1999-2000 to 2010-2011 as follows: -..."
