"...In this paper, I will analyse the dynamics of internal conflict that caused the conditions for over sixty years of civil war in Burma. In so doing, I will first investigate the root cause of ethnic armed conflict, and argue that the constitutional crisis and the implementation of the ?nation-building? process with the notion of ?one religion, one language, and one ethnicity? are the root cause of internal conflict and civil war in Burma.
