About the Thapyedan Khan Myo or Fortress, near Mandalay, and the Thapyedan Fort on the bank of the Ayeyawady River
near its confluence with Myitnge River. This fort was known as "Greater Fort Royal" or "Shwekyetyet Fort". The
Myanmar kings prepared for war and built three fortresses on the Ayeyawady to protect their capital. These forts are
