Pyithu Hluttaw session continues, form parliamentary committees: "THE Formation of three more parliamentary committees was proposed yesterday at the second Pyithu Hluttaw?s first regular session following the approval of three proposed committees. Pyithu Hluttaw Speaker U Win Myint announced parliamentary approval of theformation of the Banks and Monetary Development Committee that will be chaired by Dr Than Myint of Hlinethaya Constituency, the Agriculture, Livestock Breeding and Rural Development Committee by U Yan Lin of Kyaiklat Constituency and the Education Promotion Committee by Dr Tin Aung of Kyaukse Constituency. Next, the Speaker informed parliamentarians of a process of forming the Health and Sports Development Committee, the Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation Committee and the Transport, Communications and Construction Committee, proposing Dr San Shwe Win of Yaykyi Constituency, U Soe Thura Tun of Kungyangon Constituency and U Nay Phu Ba Swe as chairmen of the three respective committees."...Amyotha Hluttaw session goes on with parliamentary committee formation: "THE second Amyotha Hluttaw?s first regular session went on for its eighth day with the process of creating parliamentary committees yesterday. AmyothaHluttaw Speaker Mahn Win KhaingThan announced the parliamentary approval of the formation of the Education Promotion Committee, the Local and Overseas Employment Committee, the Citizens? Fundamental Rights and the Democracy and Human Rights Committee with 15 members each. According to the Speaker, Dr Win Myat Aye of Bago Region Constituency 4 was appointed as chairman of the Education Promotion Committee while U Kyaw Htway of Yangon Region Constituency 8 as chairman of Local and Overseas Employment Committee and Dr Htay Kywe of Yangon Region Constituency 1 as chairman of Citizens? Fundamental Rights, Democracy and Human Rights Committee. Next, the Speaker proposed to create a Mineral, Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation Committee with 15 members, naming U Kyaw Thiha of Mandalay Region Constituency 12 as chairman of the committee. The eighth-day session came to an end, with the Speaker announcing that the next meeting for the ninth day is set for 22 February."
