Pyidaungsu Hluttaw: Pyidaungsu Hluttaw discusses Union Budget Bill for next FY: "THE Public Accounts Committee and the joint bill committee of the Pyidaungsu Hluttaw discussed the Union Budget Bill for the next fiscal year. In his discussion, U Maung Toe, Secretary of the Public Accounts Committee, made his suggestion to submit plans for the fulfilling of the budget deficiency when the Union budget is submitted to the Pyidaungsu Hluttaw. He also suggested not including state-owned enterprises in the State?s budget and to submit their plans for running their business on a commercial base. The joint bill committee suggested that permission for borrowing money be assigned to the Pyihtaungsu Hluttaw where the budget is insufficient in implementing national projects. Regarding the banking and financial institutions bill which was sent back after disagreement of both parliaments on some parts of the bill, the Pyidaungsu Hluttaw approved 12 points suggested by the Pyithu Hluttaw and four points by the Amyotha Hluttaw. The Pyidaungsu Hluttaw also approved the Bill Amending the Penal Code which was sent back by the president with remarks. Over 530 MPs attended the Tuesday meeting."...Amyotha Hluttaw: Amyotha Hlutaw approves two bills: "THE Amyotha Hluttaw convened its meeting in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday, approving the third amended bill for the Amyotha HLuttaw Election Law and the third amended bill for the Region or State Hluttaw Election Law for the third time. Speaker of Amyotha HLuttaw U Khin Aung Myint asked MPs to enlist their names to discuss the Bill Amending the 1951 Factories Act, the 2015 shops and worksites Bill and the payment of wages bill sent with amendments by the Pyithu Hluttaw."
