"AA group fired two rockets at three
navy boats anchored near Mayu
River bank west of Yathedaung
on 20 July morning. There was
no casualty or damage, according
to the Office of the Commander-
in-Chief of Defence Services.
The three boats of the Tatmadaw
(Navy) were anchored near Mayu
River bank about 3,000 metres
west of Yathedaung to conduct
emergency rescue and aid operations
in case any passenger vessel
running along the coast in the Myanmar
waters in Rakhine State
faced mechanical breakdown or
any natural disaster hits the area.
When the AA group launched the
attack, the navy boats returned
the fire. There was no casualty or
damage. When the place where
the attacked was launched was
combed three 107mm Type 63
shells, already connected to
battery through the wires were
found, and were defused.
AA group also attacked a tugboat,
anchored near the mouth of
Hsantyoe creek east of Sittway
with three similar rockets on 22
June, according to the news report
released by the Office of the
Commander-in-Chief of Defence
Services..."
