have disseminated
information in Cox’s Bazar,
plans moving forward, possible
cooperation with UNHCR, and
how a Myanmar delegation will
attend the 70th ExCom meeting
in Geneva and hold a meeting
with the High Commissioner
for Refugees.
Afterwards, in the meeting
with the Turkish Ambassador,
Dr Win Myat Aye discusses humanitarian issues with UNHCR rep, Turkish Amb
both sides discussed processes
for establishing stability and
socio-economic development
in Rakhine State, Myanmar’s
adherence to the agreement
with Bangladesh in repatriating
displaced persons, cooperation
from ASEAN nations,
cooperation on action plans
between the Committee on
Implementing Recommendations
on Rakhine State and relevant
ministries, resettlement
of IDPs and implementing the
strategic plan to close down
temporary shelters, and possible
cooperation from Turkey on

From there, the Vice
President went to Dongfeng’s
compact car factory and was
welcomed by Deputy General
Manager Mr Yao Liwen and
officials.
The Vice President observed
the assembly of compact
cars using the latest modern
technology and the different
vehicle models manufactured.
Next, the Vice President
was hosted a luncheon by Liuzhou
Mayor Mr Wu Wei at the
Lian Hua Hotel.
In the afternoon, the Vice
President and delegation visited
the Wuling automobile factory
where they were welcomed
by Wuling Company Communist
Party Secretary and Deputy
General Manager Mr Yao
Zuoping and officials.
The Vice President observed
the production of compact
class electric cars, asked
some questions, and was shown
the assembly line of a two-seater
electric car while receiving
explanations about the different
stages of manufacturing,
standards, quality, durability,

Later in the evening, the
Vice President returned to
Nanning City with his delegation
and went by motorcade to
the Liyuan State Guest House.
Afterwards, the Vice President
held a meeting with the
Governor of Guangxi Zhuang
Autonomous Region, Mr Chen
Wu, and officials at 5:30 pm at
the State Guest House.
They discussed increased
cooperation in the economic,
social, education, investment,
agricultural, trade and travel
sectors between Myanmar and
Guanxi Zhuang Autonomous
Region.
The Vice President was accompanied
by Union Minister
Dr Than Myint, Myanmar Ambassador
to China U Myo Thant
Pe, Myanmar Consul-General
in Nanning U Soe Thet Naung,
Permanent Secretary of the
Ministry of Commerce U Aung
Soe and other officials during
