Description:
The Chairman of the National League for Democracy and Secretary 1 of
the State Peace and Development Council met on 18-8-98 and both accepted
the principle that it was necessary that there should be mutual trust.
2. Having accepted the principle of mutual trust, the NLD has indicated
that the two sides should meet to clarify the cause of arrests of its
elected representatives and members up to this day..."
