"For and on behalf of the National League for Democracy its Chairman U Aung Shwe and General Secretary Daw Aung San Suu Kyi have served notice of claim for damages and compensation against the State Peace and Development Council previously known as the State Law and Order Restoration Council (SPDC/SLORC) as required under the Civil Procedure Code Section 80. It was served on the Chairman of the SPDC on the 4th July 2000.
