"Myanmar earned US$300.366 million from 1.047 million tons of rice and broken rice exports from October 1 to January 17 in this fiscal year, according to Myanmar Rice Federation (MRF). It earned about US$220 million from over seven million tons of rice export to 56 countries in that period and over US$80 million from over 300,000 tons of broken rice export in the same period, it said. It earned over US$39 million from over 150,000 tons of rice and broken rice exports through border routes in that period. It is over 14 per cent of total rice and broken rice exports. It earned over US$260 million from over 890,000 tons of rice and broken rice exports through maritime routes in that period. They are over 14 and 85 per cents of total rice and broken rice exports respectively. Myanmar exported 2.355 million tons of rice and broken rice and earned US$709.693 million in 2018-19 FY, announced the MRF.
