The information below, currently found on the website of the Myanmar Ministry of Energy, has not been updated since the Ministry of Electric Power was reconstituted as two separate ministries in May 2006. While the data has not been updated since 2001, the information is useful for historical purposes. It also includes two maps, one showing the existing power grid system in 2000, and the other showing the locations of 29 hydro-electric projects then on the drawing boards.
