Description:
"It has been 45 years since the military dictators slaughtered Salai Tin Maung Oo, the
leader of the student movement, on the 26th of June, 1976. Salai Tin Maung Oo's
sacrifice of his life for the cause of freedom and democracy remain as yet unanswered by
the military dictators in Myanmar. It has been 45 years since Salai Tin Maung Oo gave a
very strong message to the military dictatorships and to the world that "you can kill my
body, but you can never kill my dream and vision, I shall never kneel down under the
military dictatorships (your soldier's boots)". Today, I wanted to repeat the message of
Salai Tin Maung Oo to this brutal military junta - the SAC led brutal regime of Min Aung
Hlaing and to those of you who report to the SAC - that, we the 54 million people of
Myanmar will and never bow down before your cruelties, your reign of terror and hellish
nightmare, but instead we will eradicate and bring an end to the military dictatorship that
has brought such uncontainablc and unspeakable terrorism, death, destruction, pain and
suffering to our people, and we will build an inclusive Federal Democratic Union of
Myanmar for ALL the people Myanmar. We will make Salai Tin Maung Oo's dreams and
the dreams of the brave of Myanmar become a reality. Let me repeat again to the military
junta - SAC and their supporters that "you can kill our bodies, but you cannot kill the love
that we have for our people, the visions and dreams that we are carrying for not only this
generation, but many generations to come in Myanmar. You can destroy our homes and
villages, but you can never destroy our hopes and beliefs that we have for our future and
the future of generations to come in the nation of Myanmar". I once again salute the
national hero Salai Tin Maung Oo and all the fallen heroes of the Nation for the cause of
freedom and inclusive federal democracy in Myanmar. We must win this spring revolution,
and indeed we are wining big and the military dictatorship is steadily losing. We will never
give up and we will never surrender, we will not rest until Salai Tin Maung Oo's dreams
and the visions of the brave people of Myanmar are achieved. We salute and honor Salai
Tin Maung Oo, and all the fallen heroes of the Nation, for our people and for our country.
Sincerely,
- H.E. Dr. Sasa..."
