"Nay Pyi Taw, 29 June — Electricians on daily wages are appointed as permanent workers in Mon State depending on organizational setups, Deputy Minister for Electric Power U Maw Tha Htwe replied to a query raised by MP U Nai Tun Ohn of Mon State Constituency No 5 at the Monday?s session of Amyotha Hluttaw. The deputy minister said if there is no vacancy at the offices of Mon State, the electricians will be appointed at vacancies of other states and regions depending on their wishes. MP U Nu of Yangon Constituency No 10 asked about a plan to insert the basic agriculture education into the new curriculum of basic education. Deputy Minister for Education U Thant Shin replied that basic agricultural education will be a combination subject at the primary level. Arrangements should be made for timetable of primary, middle and high school levels with at least one session of agricultural course a week. Levels of agricultural courses should be upgraded step by step for turning out agricultural skilled workers. MP U Thein Hlaing of Sagaing Region Constituency No 8 discussed the provision of Sub-section (a) of Section 34 in the bill on TV and Radio Broadcast Law sent back by Pyithu Hluttaw with amendment."
