All line buses control committee is planning to increase the number of its buses that are operating daily in Rangoon. So far only about 1,800 out of 2,155 buses are in operation.

Ministry of Forestry helped moved the 11 wild elephants from Nyinaung forest reserve in Kananchaung village in Ayeyarwaddy Division to Myittayar forest reserve in Ngaputaw Township in similar division as pasture for the elephants became narrower in the former forest reserve because of the new exploitation of the cultivation lands.

The new building of the US embassy, being built in Washington Park in Takkathoyeiktha Road, will be completed in 2007 and the US Information Resource Centre in Dagon Township is likely to be moved to the current embassy building in downtown when the construction project is completed.
According to the new policy enacted two years ago Burma's private sector will enable to export paddy that is grown in wasteland, an official from Market Information and Research Team said.
