Meetings of National Convention delegate groups held

YANGON , 26 Dec — Meetings of National Convention delegate groups took place in designated meeting halls at Nyaunghnapin Camp in Hmawby township here this morning.Delegate group of political parties

The meeting of the delegate group of political parties was held at meeting hall-1. U Saw Philip of Wa National Development Party presided over the meeting. Deputy Director U Khin Maung Phyu of Work Group-3 of National Convention Convening Work Committee acted as master of ceremonies and Assistant Director U Khin Sein as co-MC. Next, U Saw Philip delivered an opening speech.

At the meeting, U Tun Yi of National Unity Party, U Mann Tin Maung (a) U Mann Myo Nyunt of Union Kayin League, U Kya Shi of Lahu National Development Party and U Nyi Palot of Wa National Development Party read their parties’ proposal papers on legislative matters of Pyidaungsu Hluttaw, Pyithu Hluttaw, Amyotha Hluttaw and Region or State Hluttaw that will be included in the drafting of the State constitution. Later, U Saw Philip gave concluding remarks.

Delegate group of representatives-elect

The meeting of the delegate group of representatives-elect was held at meeting hall-2. U San Tha Aung of Mro (or) Khami National Solidarity Organization presided over the meeting together with U Law Sin Kwan of Kokang Democracy and Unity Party and U Yaw Aye Hla of Lahu National Development Party. Deputy Director U Maung Maung Phyu Tint of Work Group-4 of National Convention Convening Work Committee acted as master of ceremonies and Assistant Director Daw Mi Mi Shein as co-MC.

Next, U San Tha Aung delivered an opening speech. At the meeting, U Thein Tun of Ingapu township constituency-2 of National Unity Party, independent representative-elect U Tin Win of Kyaiklat township constituency-2 and other six independent representatives-elect, independent representatives-elects—U Kyi Win of Mingaladon township constituency-1, U Thein Kyi of Taungdwingyi township constituency-1, U Tin Tun Maung of Mingaladon township constituency-2 and U Tin Win of Kyaiklat township constituency-2 read their proposal papers on legislative matters of Pyidaungsu Hluttaw, Pyithu Hluttaw, Amyotha Hluttaw and Region or State Hluttaw that will be included in the drafting of the State constitution. Later, U San Tha Aung gave concluding remarks.

Delegate group of national races

The meeting of the delegate group of national races was held at Pyidaungsu Hall. U Maung Hla (a) U Hla Myint of Taninthayi Division presided over the meeting together with U Kyaw Din (a) U Htay Ral of Kayah State and Duwa Zok Doung of Shan State (North).

Deputy Director U Than Tun of Work Group-5 of National Convention Convening Work Committee acted as master of ceremonies and Assistant Director U Tin Maung Oo as co-MC.

Next, U Maung Hla delivered an opening speech.

At the meeting, U Shi Thee of Sagaing Division, Daw San San Htay of Ayeyawady Division, U Pyay Lay of Chin State, Daw Aye Cho Sein of Shan State (South), Daw Khin Lay Myint of Mon State and U Sai Thein Aung of Kachin State read their proposal papers on legislative matters of Pyidaungsu Hluttaw, Pyithu Hluttaw, Amyotha Hluttaw and Region or State Hluttaw that will be included in the drafting of the State constitution. Later, U Maung Hla gave concluding remarks.

Delegate group of other invited persons

The meeting of the delegate group of other invited persons was held at meeting hall-8. Dr Ma Nan Tuja of Kachin State Special Region-2 presided over the meeting together with U Aung Kham Hti of Shan State (South) Special Region-6 and Vice Chairman U Sai Aung Tun of Myanmar History Commission. Deputy Director U Aung Kyi of Work Group-10 of National Convention Convening Work Committee acted as master of ceremonies and Assistant Director U Win Myint as co-MC. Next, Dr Ma Nan Tuja delivered an opening speech. At the meeting, U Sai Khwam Mein of Shwepyi Aye (MTA), U Het Satan of Kayah State Special Region-2 and U Aung Myint of Shan State (North) Special Region-2 read their proposal papers on legislative matters of Pyidaungsu Hluttaw, Pyithu Hluttaw, Amyotha Hluttaw and Region or State Hluttaw that will be included in the drafting of the State constitution. Later, Dr Ma Nan Tuja gave concluding remarks.
