Five held with Burma made Yaba tablets in Bangladesh

Bangladesh Police arrested five persons in a hotel with 800 pieces Yaba , stimulate tablets, from Burma on July 5, said a Bangladesh Newspaper.

The arrested were identified as Shamim (32), Selim (28), Ali Akber(42), Dudu Meah (28) and Ibrahim. But there is not report the arrestees where came from.

According to newspaper report, Chittagong Metropolitan Police arrested them when they were smuggling 800 pieces of stimulate tablet in the hotel Sabina.

Police recovered 800 pieces of Yaba tablets from their hand in the spot. The value of seized Yaba is worth about 1,0000 Bangladeshi Taka.

It is learnt that it is a first report of Bangladesh that Burma made Yaba tablets seized in Bangladesh soil. Many analyst believe the drug smuggling gang is properly using Bangladesh territory for smuggling transit point for Burma product drug from golden triangle area.
