a proud moment for Lt-Gen Khin Nyunt as he stood on the beach
looking out over the sparkling blue waters of Ngwe Hsaung. For him,
and the people of Myanmar it was yet another step forward to show
others the kaleidoscope of tourism options in this nation of
unspoiled coastline, rugged mountains and unique cultural heritage.

counterparts from Japan, China and South Korea is shaping up to be
one of the most critical since Myanmar’s move towards a free market
after 1988. The overtones of such a meeting being held in Yangon
