Burmese FM Arrives in Bangladesh Tomorrow

 

Chittagong, Feb 23: Burmese Foreign Minister (FM) Nyang Win arrives in Dhaka tomorrow on a three-day visit to Bangladesh, sources said.

 

During his visit, he will discuss ways for further cooperation between the two countries in the field of trade and commerce, direct road-link and repatriation of Burmese refugees.

 

This will be Nyan Win’s first visit after assuming office as Burmese foreign ministry, said a foreign ministry handout yesterday.

 

Nyan Win, Burmese Foreign Minister will be in Bangladesh at the invitation of Bangladesh Foreign Minister M Morshed Khan.

 

Nyan Win will be accompanied by the director general of the political Department and assistant director of Southeast Asia Division of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Burma.

 

During his visit, he will hold official talks with his counterpart M Morshed Khan tomorrow. Both the ministers will review the status of bilateral relations between the two countries and discuss ways of cooperation in coastal shipping apart from direct road-link between the two countries. And they will also discuss repatriation of Burmese refugees from Bangladesh. ##
