(violating the rule of law) on 8 December 1999, were staged at Tintha, Kyawywa, Natchaung, Htaukkyan and Thazi villages by groups in compliance with the wishes of
the authorities against U Thein Win, NLD Member of
Parliament for Constituency 2, Kalemyo township,
Sagaing Division.

11. We have received information that a No-confidence Shouting Demonstration,
was staged on 21 January 2000 to comply with the wishes of the authorities at
the Magwe Sports Field and in the Nyaung
kan village tract by groups against U U Kyaw Myint, NLD Member of
Parliament for Constituency 1, Magwe township, Magwe Division.
12. The key performers in those false and shameful shouting demonstrations were

of Ceremonies - U Myo, trader from Myintha ward and U Kyaw Win, battery manufacturer from Nyaung
· Presenters
of paper bearing signatures - U Tin Hal, trader from Myohaung
Ward and U Aung Kyaing from Nyaungkan
village.

Commission.
13. We hereby make this notification that the illegal demonstrations
orchestrated and staged to deceive and mislead the electorates are activities
in violation of the rule of law. Those authorities and key players in the
shouting demonstrations, those who acted as masters of ceremonies, those who presented papers with signatures alleged to be
made by the electorate, and those recipients of such papers are offenders of
the law and as such they have achieved nothing that is valid or acceptable by
law.
