BEXIMCO PHARMA HOLDS " PEEDIATRIC SEMINAR " IN MYANMAR

Beximco Pharmaceuticals Ltd, the leading pharmaceutical manufacturer of Bangladesh has been continuing its efforts to extend the business activities in the international arena, says a press release.

As a parts of its ongoing quest to reinforce its overseas presence, Beximco Pharma organized an impressive " Pediatric Seminar " at Yangon, capital of Myanmar recently.

The programme was inaugurated by professor Myo Myint, President of Myanmar Medical Association. Nazmul Hassan, Director, Marketing and Commercial of Beximco Pharmaceutgicals Ltd, delivered the address of welcome in the programme. He also gave a " Corporate Presentation on Beximco Pharma" by colourful multimedia projection. In his presentation, Nazmul Hassan informed the house that apart from its existing product portfolio, Beximco pharma is going to introduce another 20 exciting new products in Myanmar which will also include five new pediatric formulations.

Professor Thein Thein Myint, Head of Rangoon Children Hospital was the chairperson of the scientific seminar. Renowned pediatrician of Bangladesh professor Salim Shakur, Academic Director and Senior Consultant of Bangladesh Institute of Child Health, Dhaka Shishu Hospital presented his paper on " ARI associated with low zinc status in malnourished children". Professor San San Myint, noted consultant Neonatologist, Central Women Hospital, Yangon presented her paper on" feeding issues of Preterm Infants".

The programme was attended by about 150 renowned pediatricians of Myanmar, comprising of professors, associate professors, senior consultants, consultants etc. Among others, the Bangladesh ambassador in Myanmar, Defense Attaché of Bangladesh in Myanmar, First secretary of Bangladesh Embassy, representatives from UNICEF, high officials and people from Media were also present in the seminar. The programme as well as the quality and aesthetic packaging of the products of Beximco pharma were highly appreciated by the distinguished doctors who attended the programme.#
