Two Nasaka Beaten up By One Villager

Maungdaw, August 9:
On 12th July 2003, two Nasaka (Bordr Security Force) forces were beaten up by a villager during altercation among them, according to our correspondent.

One Motol Hussain, 47, son of Bodiur Rahman, hails from Inn Din village of Maungdaw Township in the Arakan State, was going to a local Bazar to sell a bag of 40 kgs of dry chilli. When he reached on a bridge adjacent to his village, two Nasaka forces from camp No. 18 of Inn Din village in Sector No.8 halted and asked him to pay a tax of Kyat 4,000. As he has no money, he promised to pay when he returned from Bazar, he further added.

But, the Nasaka did not allow him to go to Bazar. As a result of which, an altercation took place among them. In one stage, the victim didn’t bear with them and he suddenly struck the two Nasaka forces fallen into the creek by a stick. Afterwards, Motol Hussain ran away taking the bag of chilli, he further said.

After a few moments, the two Nasaka forces climbed up the bank and began hunting Motol Hussain. He was, however, caught and arrested after one week and carried to the Nasaka Camp, said an ex-primary teacher.

The fate of the Motol Hussain is not known till writing the report, the teacher further added.
