released and held a meeting, But UNA is not sure

“NLD can join to
national convention if all of it’s central executive committee can be
held a meeting for it,” Chairperson of Mon National Democratic Front, who meet
with NLD central members regularly, said
in front of the crowded people at the 8th honoring ceremony
for Nai Aung Tun, Mon Affair minister who passed away in Paca village,
Thanpyuzayart township.
“NLD executive committee
member had a chance to meet it’s CEC
member in prison, but they can’t not decide for attending National Convention
”, Nai Tun Thein, MNDF chairperson who was a leader of United Nationalities
Alliance said to more than 200 of Mon politician included former Mon People
Front member, under led of Nai Aung Tun.
After the people prayed for Nai Aung Tun, MPF
leader, he said, “NLD can not hold the meeting for NC because the government
doesn’t release some NLD’s CEC including Daw Aung Sun Su Kyi.”
Beside, He added “If NLD can
be hold meeting for NC, NLD will attend the NC, if NLD’s CEC member were not
released and were not held the meeting surely, NLD will not join in NC.”
“But, UNA is not sure for
attending NC, there is no decision for it. Although UNA wanted this NC to be
the people and foreign community wanted NC, even the Burmese government
controlled. UNA want to see the result of NC, which is what the people wanted
because UNA want to see a peace in
Every year, the Paca village
communities do honoring ceremony for Nai Aung Tun and invite Mon politicians
for explaining of the current politic situation.
In this year, the ceremony
started at midday of today and the community people read about biology of
Nai Aung Tun and about his work as a leader of Mon People Front, the armed
politic party that changed armed with peace in 1958 to U Nu, government.
The Mon politician also explained
about the current political situation and current situation of Mon people. The
people discussed about two Mon leaders from non-political organization invited
to NC by the government.
Nai Tun Thein also explained about MNDF, which
cannot attend the NC because MNDF members are in prision now.
Beside, He added that MNDF also join with NLD
member and continue asking the government for its member released.
