Yesterday, more Than ten thousand students finished Mon Literature Study.

Yesterday night, in Mudon township, the local Mon community celebrated closing ceremony of the Summer time Mon literature school which are under leading of a famous monk,Talagoon on Aiarr Par li Tha in Kamawet village.

In the celebration, the community leader, schoolteacher, students and thousands of communities, from different circles in Mudon Township, attended.

The celebration honored for more than ten thousands student from 11 circles in Mudon Township that finished summery Mon literature school in this year and the ceremony was celebrated with Mon traditional dance, drama and music.

The celebration started at about 7:30 PM and the school leader Talagoon Ajarr Pa Li Tha gave the prize to the students and gave speeches to the community people from different circles.

“All Mon political leader, Mon revolution army leader, Mon religion leader, Mon education leader and the Buddhist monk leader must serve your Mon people if all of you want to be leader .Also can learn Mon literature if u do like this .Literature is a signification of the Nation. If you are not doing, are you leader,” he said strongly and loudly from the stage to the people.

Ajarr Pa Li Tha encouraged the community people to send their younger generation to join the Mon literature school from which they can read and write Mon literature well in the future.

Ajarr Pa Li Tha is a monk leading in the Mon community for opening Mon Literature Summary School among the Mon people and he is a leader of fighting for Mon people to get a chance in teaching and learn Mon literature, an ancient literature in Southeast Asia, which was since 15 years ago.

He was jailed one time by the government and now he is continue working at Mon Literature and Culture in Mudon Township community where the biggest literature movement in Mon State.

According to the community leader, the number of student is increasing and 330 teachers took responsibility in the school in this year.

In Mudon, the Mon literature summary school started after the examination of the government school and intend for Mon young generation. In the school, thousand of Mon children, from the government school, joined in it.

“We prefer to send our children to our MON School, also we want our child to learn from both school,” Nai Chan Done, a student father, in Mudon said.

In Mon Literature, the community leader separated 9 standard for learner, primary standard, first standard, second standard, culture standard, philosophy standard, ethics standard, history of Hongsarwatoi standard, history of Martaban and history of Mon literature.

The school period is only one months and every year Mudon community open and finished it school before water festival. Like Mudon after the water festival, the Thanpyuzayart Township and Kyaikmayaw Township Mon community will open Mon literature summery school.
