Fund for diabled children collecting from beauty and fashion show

SPDC authorities and USDA members hold 10 days long beauty contest and fashion show in the city hall of Moulmein, the capital of Mon State, by forcibly selling the tickets to civilians under the name of ‘help disabled children’.

A 40 year old Mon activist from Moulmein said, with the support of Moulmein SPDC authorities, Moulmein District USDA conducts this beauty contest and fashion show, which is started today.

The USDA members have forcefully sold the tickets to all familites in city.  Whether they wish or not to go the show, but they have to buy ticket with price 700 Kyat per ticket.   “Some house are forced to buy about 5 tickets” added by the activist.

The regime, which ratified the UN’s Convention on the Rights of the Children (CRC) has planned the disabled children and so that it instructed its main supporting group, USDA, to seek fund for those children.   The regime spends most money in defense and has limited fund for the health or children programme.
