SPDC tracks against NMSP’s Public Relations Officers

After SPDC’s military intelligence (MI) arrested a former NMSP’s Public Relations Officer, Nai Yetkha, with accusation of adopting plan for the assassination of military leaders, then the MI has tracked more to other NMSP’s PR officers for more arrest.

After seizing some documents in his house, MI believes there are more PR officers who worked for him in Mon State and therefore they tried to search them.

On August 2, SPDC’s MI officials rushed into a Mon Dhamma Center in Moulmein, the capital of Mon State where the general Mon visitors and Mon activists are taking a rest in there.

Even though the MI officials could not arrest anyone who are related to PR works under the supervision of Nai Yetkha, but many activists who close to Nai Yetkha has to flee from their native towns and villages.

As the MI closely watches the activities of NMSP’s other PR officers and therefore, the NMSP officials in Moulmein have to cease their PR activities.

The MI and SPDC authorities arrested Nai Yetkha on July 17 and then they arrested other Mon youths and a MNDF (Mon National Democratic Front) leader in Pegu.

They arrested these people with accusation of planning for bomb explosion in the capital of Burma, Rangoon, and assassination of military leaders.

After the arrest, the SPDC makes more searches to NMSP members who regularly travel in Mon State and has restricted more against the passengers who travel along main road and ship ports.
