SPDC supporters “People Vigorous Association” are trained to be commando

The members of SPDC’s newly formed organization, People Vigorous Association (PVA), are recruited by Burmese Army’s local battalions, to attend the basic military training and used them as commando force or paramilitary force or anti-strike force accordingly to a source from Mon State.

The members of newly formed organization are selected from SPDC’s supporting Union Solidarity and Development Association (USDA) and village militia force. The Burmese Army’s local battalions in Mon State asked these groups and selected most of them and recruited to attend 2 weeks training. Those who completed two weeks training will be put in PVA.

After two weeks training, they must be recruited as paramilitary force and depending to the country security and law and order situation, they may be used as anti-foreign invasion forces or anti-strike force, or police force.

After two weeks training, some will be selected to attend higher course of the training schools to be in Burmese Army’s commando force.

According to the source, the trainees (of the PVA force) will be sent to upper Burma after 2 weeks training and members of PVA force from upper Burma will be sent to lower Burma as troop exchange plan of Burmese Army. Unlikely to the members of Burmese Army, the members of PVA must need to communicate with people with their trained ‘Public Relations’ course during training.

At the same time, the Burmese Army’s local military battalions in several Townships of Mon State have recruited about 1000 men from each village tract (which has about 5 to 10 villages) and forced them to attend the military training them. When the
State requires, the Burmese Army will use them as ‘anti-strike force’ or ‘anti-foreign invasion force’.

Many civilians who did not want to attend training escaped from their native villages and some robed to be Buddhist monks.
