Declaration
Today, we, four pro-democracy activist groups, Burmese Association in Japan (BAIJ), Burma Youth Volunteer Association (Japan) (BYVA), Student Organization for Liberation of Burma (SOLB) and Burmese Women Union (Japan Branch) joined together to better promote democracy in our country under the name of League for Democracy in Burma (LDB). LDB will responsible for everything concerned with the BAIJ, BYVA, SOLB and BWU (JB) and all members of these groups automatically become the members of LDB. We will promote our activities hand in hand with all the forces those are fighting for democracy and human rights in Burma not only in Japan but also in other countries. The General Assembly will be held in December 10, 2000 and it's constitution and regulations will be endorsed. And also the executive committee members will be elected. At present, the current executive committee (provision) lead by Khin Maung
Zaw takes responsible for the activities of LDB.
