(15)	Myanmar trounces Laos 8-0 Myanmar and Thai U-18s
to meet 12 June

Yangon, 10 June - Myanmar is now on the top of the
table in group A on aggregate after beating Laos 8-0
this evening, and even a draw with Thai team on 12
June will secure its seminal berth.

It was an excellent evening for the Myanmar under-18
youths who played a perfect game and scored eight
goals against Laos, which had not won a single match
yet. Despite the skill gap between the two teams and
the number of goals they had conceded, the Laotian
boys never lost spirit from the start till the end of
the match.

As it is less likely that Singapore will score more
goals than Myanmar in its match against Laos, Myanmar
has a chance to become the group leader if it beats
Thailand on Thursday match, which will be a tough and
decisive game for both teams.
Kanbawza Group of Companies presented K 1 million to
the Myanmar boys. There will be no matches on 11 June.
