Ten staff members freed from Thai hospitalRATCHABURI, Thailand, Jan 24 (AFP) -Dissident Myanmar gunmen who seized a Thai hospital packed with 200 people on Monday have released 10 members of staff, witnesses said. The ten elderly staff members were whisked away from the hospital here in a van seven hours into the siege. Officials said ambulances were standing by in case more hostages were freed. A middle-aged woman was later taken away from the hospital but by plain clothes police but it was not clear if she had been held hostage. |
