Simon Tensing de Cruz appointed Ambassador to MyanmarThe Government has appointed Simon Tensing de Cruz as Singapore's next Ambassador to Myanmar.Mr de Cruz, 45, is expected to assume the posting later this month. A Foreign Affairs Ministry statement says Mr de Cruz joined the Ministry in 1979, and has had various postings in the region, including Bangkok, Riyadh and Jakarta. His most recent appointment was as Ambassador to the Philippines. Mr de Cruz is married and graduated with an Honours degree in Political Science from the then University of Singapore in 1979. |
