Burma, China sign purchase agreement for bridge

The Public Works Department of the Ministry of Construction and China
National Constructional and
Agricultural Machinery Import and Export Corporation CCAMC of the People's
Republic of China signed
a contract to purchase girders for Irrawaddy bridge construciton project in
Dedaye this morning. 

Present at the signing ceremony were Minister for Construction Maj-Gen Saw
Tun, Deputy Minister
Brig-Gen Myint Thein, Managing Director of Public Works U Ne Soe Naing,
Director General of
Construction Inspection Department U Soe Tint, Acting Director General of
Department of Human
Settlement and Housing Development Col Tin Tun, heads of departments, CCAMC
chief representative
Luo Yan, officials and guests. 

Minister for Construction Maj-Gen Saw Tun delivered a speech. chief
representative Luo Yan spoke
words of thanks. Managing Director U Ne Soe Naing and chief representative
Ms Luo Yan of CCAMC
signed the contract. Chief representative Luo Yan presented 600,000 kyats
for sports committee of Public
Works to Managing Director U Ne Soe Naing.
