An official in the Thai Labour Ministry has been quoted as saying that =
Thailand would like to talk to the Burmese authorities to allow Burmese =
workers to come back to work in factories on the Thai-Burma border.=20

In November, Thailand repatriated thousands of migrant Burmese workers, =
although many have slipped back into Thailand to work.=20

Thai businessmen have lobbied the government to relax restrictions on =
migrant workers because factories are short of staff.=20
