Crystal Cruises Unveils Itinerary to More Than 30 Countries for 2001
World Cruise

LOS ANGELES, Dec. 29 /PRNewswire/ -- Spanning 38 exotic ports of call in
31 countries, Crystal Cruises' 2001 World Cruise is its most extensive
global crossing to date. In 104 days from Los Angeles to London,
Crystal Symphony's sixth consecutive World Cruise will travel to
rarely-visited destinations in Southeast Asia, India, the Middle East,
along the west and east coasts of Africa, the Canary Islands and Western
Europe. The 2001 itinerary, Jan. 12 to April 27, boasts more countries
than any previous Crystal World Cruise.

Throughout the warm-weather winter route are nine maiden calls:
Kwajalein, Marshall Islands; Palau Island, Republic of Palau; Hon Gai
(Halong Bay), Vietnam; Kompong Som, Kampuchea; Yangon, Myanmar; Colombo,
Sri Lanka; Mayotte, Comoros Islands; Nosy Be, Madagascar and Banjul,
Gambia. Crystal Symphony's 2001 World Cruise route also features the
exotic ports of Cochin and Mumbai, India; Muscat, Oman; Zanzibar,
Tanzania; Durban and Cape Town, South Africa; Walvis Bay, Namibia;
Takoradi, Ghana; Abidjan, Ivory Coast; Dakar, Senegal; and Casablanca,
Morocco.

Additional World Cruise 2001 highlights include the thriving port of
Dubai, United Arab Emirates; Bilbao, Spain, home to the architecturally-
revered Guggenheim Museum; and a return visit to Hong Kong after a
two-year absence.

Underscoring its commitment to meeting -- and exceeding -- guest
expectations, Crystal Cruises surveyed thousands of past guests and
top-producing travel agents regarding their itinerary preferences. The
resulting World Cruise 2001 was crafted from responses earning the
highest level of interest. "Each year our goal is to create the luxury
cruise experience of a lifetime," said Joseph A. Watters, president,
Crystal Cruises. "This 2001 World Cruise is the ideal blend of unusual
new ports of call as well as the world's top destinations. It is an
itinerary designed to appeal to first-time and repeat World Cruisers
seeking the best on sea and land."

The 104-day sailing is also available in four individual World Cruise
Voyages, ranging in length from 24 to 28 days, sailing from Los Angeles,
Hong Kong, Dubai, and Cape Town. Guests embarking in Hong Kong, Dubai
and Cape Town will enjoy a complimentary pre-cruise, hotel package.

In conjunction with this unique odyssey, Crystal Symphony's guests may
experience customized insights to exotic regions, such as a one-day
charter flight to the Taj Mahal, a tour of Cambodia's famed Angkor Wat
Temple, an exploration of Mandalay's sacred Buddhist region, or an
African game park safari in Mombasa.

Special World Value Fares for the complete 104-day voyage begin at
$38,052 per person, double occupancy and include round-trip First Class
or Business Class air transportation (depending on stateroom category),
chauffeured limousine airport/ship/home transfers, pre-paid gratuities,
$1,000 shipboard spending credits, luxury overnight hotel
accommodations, and gala bon voyage party in Los Angeles the night
before embarkation.

Cruise fares for the individual segments begin at $7,890 per person.
For guests combining two or more World Cruise Voyages, free Business
Class or Economy Class air transportation is provided as well as
attractively priced air add-ons for those booking a single segment. A

Heralded as two of the most spacious and elegant ships afloat, Crystal
Symphony and her sister ship, Crystal Harmony, are lauded for offering
more guest choices, programs and activities within an atmosphere of
luxury and warmth that rivals any other premier small or large ship.
The 940-guest floating resort features expansive decks, a wide variety
of spacious lounges and private verandas augmenting more than half of
her exquisitely appointed staterooms. Extensive entertainment and
enrichment programs, luxurious spa, Caesars Palace at Sea casino,
full-service gym facility and a myriad of daily fitness/sports
activities are a few of her superior recreational amenities. Crystal
Symphony's reputation for flexible, gourmet dining is also a highlight,
from the Crystal Dining Room's regionally inspired cuisine prepared in
the classical French tradition, to the alternative specialty restaurants
of Prego and Jade Garden.

Crystal Cruises' impeccable friendly service and luxurious attention to
detail have been recognized with an unprecedented number of top industry
awards. Most recently, not only was Crystal named "World's Best Large
Cruise Line" for the fourth consecutive year in Travel & Leisure
magazine, and the "Best Large-Ship Cruise Line" award for the fifth
consecutive year in the readers' survey conducted by Conde Nast
Traveler, but in both surveys the luxury line's overall rating outscored
all other cruise lines -- large and small ship.
