Of its kind : This is the most powerful communications
group in existance

Powder puff Congress raps hand of de Samaranch.

It has been reported (BBC24) that yesterday In DC the
Marques de Samaranch, President of the IOC, came
under "heavy attack" from Congress. And without a flinch,
nor with any guilt, teh in his own defence came up with the
old lame duck phrase, "We have cleaned up the IOC shop."

But those on this list already know that in its present
form the IOC has gone well beyond its role model sell
by date.

And that if a more people friendly as opposed to such
as NIKE concerns, IOC policy cannot be developed, nor
if strict supervision and changes in its human rights and
anti-drug policies cannot be brought into being. Then
the people themselves, by whatever means available,
should bring an end to the IOC and all its workings.
Removing, by means necessary, the title to the Spirit
of the Olympics, (which belongs to the international
community) from the grasp of such unethical figures
of massive power over hearts, pockets and minds, as
Juan Antonio, the defiant Marques de Samaranch

Yesterday the Marques was invited to resign. He refused.
And headlines cry "Franco's fall guy laughs his way out
of court." And the sponsors of the games continue to
feed this sort of international sports corruption into the
minds of the young. Who are then requested to "know
better" than to take drugs..

So it seems that even Congress is helpless in the face
of his and the IOC's dual fingered higher ethic. Which
in turn castrates, (in the minds of milions) under these
acute anti-drug circimstances, every Drug Programe and
every government in the world. Except Afghanistan, the
Bahamas, Bolivia, Brazil, Burma, Cambodia, China,
Colombia, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Guatemala,
Haiti, Hong Kong, India, Jamaica, Laos, Mexico, Nigeria,
Pakistan, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Taiwan, Thailand,
and Venezuela and Vietnam.

So maybe BOut is correct in suggesting that (until further
notice) the above should hold their own Olympiads in
future?

Throwing Burma out of Syd 2000, may not halt the flow
from the junta to Australia, nor stem the meth etc moving
from Burma to Bankok. But it would send out the message
that everyone, apart from de Samaranch, the IOC and the
nations listed above, wanted to hear.

And it may also advance the cause of native australians.
Who unless there is a dethronement, and some rapid
changes in IOC policies on endemic racism in Australia,
will be forced to "capture the flame" with their protests.

August anti-drug bodies, which will be subjected to the
indignity of public awareness and accountability for any
loss of taxpayers dollars, take note. The agency already
turned down one chance to cripple the opium production
of the Golden Triangle. When in the mid60s it could have
bought up the large percentage of its production, for
mere $13,000,000 a year.

C'mon Congress. Can't you do better than that?
