Condition of Maneloi Camp

<u>Situation of Maneeloi camp <br>

</u>1) Three persons who were arresteed for getting out of camp without
pass on 2nd December were released by the police back to the camp.<br>
<br>
2) Two persons, Pyi Oak, NI 8626 and Zaw Lin (NI 8294) were arrested on
4th of December while they were leaving camp without pass. It is learnt
that the police said that they could punished up to 2 years imprisonment
and 20000 as fine. <br>
<br>
They were detained at PaHtaw police station.<br>
<br>
There are currently 72 points of Rules to be abide by the refugees in the
camp and it was learnt that it would be extended to include some more
rules.<br>
<br>
3) There are 166 newcomers who were given dry ration on weekly basic and
asked to cook their meals themselves. They are not allowed to enjoy food
in the same mass as the present ones. The newcomers are against this
issue which they see as discrimination and did not withdraw the ration
for this week. <br>
