How doth it feel that your SU, which worked not for
freedom of the nation. But for the parents of a traitor
to us all, did not involve the LSE with the Free Burma
/ James Mawdsley and Rachel Goldwyn demos?
Well maybe you should make up for that and=20
return the favour that Rachel did for us all, and pull a=20
few NUS puppet strings at SOAS. We all wouldn't
want the ex LSE student junta pet stool pig-eon to be too
comfortabe when taking her masters at the expense=20
of the prisoners of conscience whom she abandoned=20
in Insein Prison.

The news of the General's visit to London was considered by=20
many as something exclusive to the Brit military. A MODefence=20
box of which could Not be interfered. But as FIFA arrived in=20
the country at the same time as the General. And as we had=20
proposed a desanitization of its role in the sanitization of large=20
scale drug producers / transporters, to the leader of the delgation.
We were able to offer the Green Berets, the SAS (The Regiment)=20
General Barry McCaffrey, and the American taxpayer to the tune=20
of 3/4 of a bilion dolars, a "soft option. Of, "first kick soccer crazy=20
Columbia out of the World Cup. And if that doesn't change things=20
for the better and rid the nation of the bad guys, then, possibly,=20
send in the tanks". To which the Coumbian farmers replied that it=20
may do far more good to take Columbian farmers to DC or the=20
UN. Or even bring them into the the US "under the wire" to lobby=20
against making war on their land.
Seems ike a good idea to us.. Any comments?

The UK
Obviously, the news of the week has been of the release of=20
one of our "number". One Rachel Goldwyn, 28 yrs old, from=20
stylish Barnes, west London. Who when we surfaced BO
8 months ago with the competed plan for the outing of the=20
Burmese miitary regime, via the IOC, from the Sydney 2000=20
Olympiad. Contacted us and requested that she should make=20
banners for BO demonstrations and provided us with=20
information on drug abuse in Austrlalia. In her commitment=20
to human rights and ousting the ethnicaly unrepresentative=20
team from Rangoon, she was prominent on the picket lines=20
outside Australia House in the Strand. And independently,=20
confessed that she was going to head for Burma to get=20
arrested and released within two months.
The story she maintains in the European media is now
different from that... "Our Rach", "The Bride of Juntastein",
now returned to home with her parents, has stated that the=20
"sentence shocked her" (7 yrs) and that she thought that=20
"she would be deported within a week".
Having met with the family before they went out to get her back,=20
I had been concerned that, although in regard to the fight for=20
human rights, Dr Charmian Goldwyn seemed strong, it had=20
soon became obvious that she was dominated by a husband=20
of a far lesser strength. In fact the man was almost as=20
distasteful as when a civil servant recently left us hanging on=20
the phone for ten minutes, while papers rustled in the=20
background "Open Government" huh?
Things "Rachel" are now calming down. After her return and=20
betrayal of her comrades and all she had previously stood=20
for, she brazenly announced that her next career woud be=20
as "a researcher into anti-drug measures being taken on by=20
the junta's miltitary in the north of the country". (As if anyone
would ever believe anything she said again huh?) And while=20
helping "the poor from the inside" would also complete her=20
masters degree at SOAS, in London.=20
Maybe her and the UK Drug Czar Keith Hellawell, shoud make=20
a rendezvous? For as one listens to her father talk of a promising=20
career with an unlimited phone account. One wonders which=20
part of the Golden Triangle will pay for her anti-drug studies.
And the violins section smiled at the chance to play some=20
more tear jerkers.
