Don't even think to reform it economy without political changes or obtaining
balance of power in Burma. Balance of power is essential condition of
political and economic freedom.

Not only S.P.D.C but also Chinese President Jiang Zemin said at ASEAN
meeting that they would go on defending Burmese way to militarism, despite
international criticism it has faced over human rights and particularly the
military junta's treatment of the pro-democracy opposition. They said the
world is a diverse one and each country has the right to choose its social
system.

Wait a minute...... If they talk about different social system and
developing in each country, and also if they don't want to compare western
countries,
they must at least compare Burma with eastern countries such as Thailand,
Malaysia
and so on. They also need to consider the sources of social change in
Burma. There have two sources of social change in Burma, and those are internal
sources of social change and external sources of social change. The most of
important internal sources of social change are technological innovation,
ideology, culture conflicts and institutionalized structural inequality. What
kinds of high tech Burma own,and what kinds of technologies can people have
permits to use in Burma? And also, throughout history, ideologies have played
a major role in shaping the direction of social change. In Burma, conservative
ideologies ( military administration) are slowing down social changes that
technological advances are promoting. We can obviously see institutionalized
structural inequality when we observe social class in Burma. Look at the
social stratification in Burma . For example, members of the BSPP, SLORC,
SPDC, and upper class have great wealth, and their children are going abroad
to study for higher and modern education even though schools and universities
were closed because of political instabilities.

Secondly, they can not reform its economy because they have no correct notion
and their sentiment always overwhelms reason. They want to reform its economy
but they are corrupt, and they are egoists. We could approve many officials
in spdc, slorc, bspp were corrupt. Their action did not corespond with their
belief. For example, they made contracts with foreign companies, and they
took advantages from those companies for their family's members. Nobody took
action on those kind of behavior , and those kinds of corruption are like
tradition
in their society. They did not care that no raw material and no production
power
were in such plant and industry, and no improvement was in such department
and corporation in Burma. They only know how to take the advantages for their
family's members, and how to oppress poor people with their military law.
