AFP : Myanmar gunmen release Thai m (r)

Subject: Re: AFP : Myanmar gunmen release Thai minister

In my view, the gun men apparently did not intend to harm anyone. What they
want seems to be international attention to their struggle for democracy in
Burma. However, frustration and losing patient with SLORC/SPDC may cause
more bloodshed in Burma or overseas. If it happens SLORC/SPDC is the only
party responsible for their failure to honor the election result in 1990 and
enter the dialogue with oppositions.
