Earlier reports said that there were 12 hostage takers. In fact, there were
only 5 hostage takers.
According to sources from BKK, a Thai police helicopter was provided by the
Thai government authorities: the Thai Deputy Minister and another hostage
negotiator. The helicopter waited for the hostage takers at a nearby school
to which the  gunmen were taken together with the Thai  authorities in 2
white vans. All hostages were free and there was no casuality at all. Five
hostage takers and the two Thai authorities  have been flown to Kanchanaburu
at Thai-Burma border. The two Thai authorities are back in Bangkok. Hostage
takers were in bullet-proof jackets and wearing masks. Unreliable sources
said hostage takers were trained by a western military specialist.
