Senior General Than Shwe inspects Pyinmana-Taungnyo-Taungdwingyi Road, greening of the region, farming and development works
		
YANGON, 24 Sept - Chairman of the State Peace and Development Council Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Than Shwe and party left Mandalay for Meiktila on 22 September morning.

At the project, they inspected the condition of the road, paddy and sugarcane cultivation along the road and natural forest and re-plantation of teak.

Senior General Than Shwe gave guidance.

In line with the guidance of the Senior General, Public Works is constructing the road; passenger buses have been running on the road since 26 March 1999.
	
After inspecting the road, they arrived at Taungdwingyi at 11.00 am.

This morning, the Senior General and party attended the ceremony to offer provisions to members of the Sangha and nuns from 57 monasteries and 13 nunneries of Pyinmana Township at Maha Withutaya Mezigon Kyaung.
