The Policy Office has been quiet for a week or so.
But some say that, "That's when you are at our most
dangerous." How nice, huh?

One thing is for sure. In that it has become obvious to
the cognocenti that "Rachel's Story" is going to stay in
the European headlines for a long long time to come.

For :

"If the Burmese generals consider that making
Rachel Goldwyn a martyr for the causes in which
she believed, a good sign for the future of their nation ..
Then they may have made their most successfull anti-
media coup of their era."

Radio Interview : International Radio News.

Today, 16th September 1999. Rachel was given 7 years
HARD LABOUR by those who sat in judgement upon her
reasons for "singing" in Rangoon.

After James Maudsley's refusal to not return to Burma
to demonstrate. The junta intended to be come down
hard on all who protest inside "their" nation. And while
the whole world watches in sadness and amazement
and those from the junta mistakenly "truly believe that
the generals are saving Burma from chaos, anarchy, and
Aung San Suu Kyi".

On behalf of all concerned with these issues we conducted
that which Rachel herself would desire. And her mother has
just faxed her own requests to the Trades Union Conference
being held in in Brighton

Tomorrows UK "Independent" will probably carry a copy
of a shot of Rachel at the Australian High Commission in
London. For the generals do not yet realise that their "anti-
white, anti-foreign interference" (as dispatched upon
individuals) are antiquated philosophies and are tragically
(for any "new" non anarchic Burma) out of date ..

Both in support of the native Australians who will "do their
own thing" in regard to an Olympic protest, and the
disenfranchised people of Burma. This was first time such
an anti-drug / pro human rights demonstration had taken
place outside the Australian High Commission (London)
