 50 members resign from Pantanaw Township NLD

       YANGON, 15  Sept-Fifty  members of Pantanaw
Township  NLD,  Ayeyawady  Division,  of their own
volition,   resigned   by   sending   letters   of
resignation  to  Township   Multiparty   Democracy
General   Election   Commission   and  the   party
concerned as they no longer wished to  participate
in party politics of NLD.

       On 12 July 1999, on behalf of resigned  NLD
members,  NLD  member  Daw Khin Sein  handed  over
resignations  to Chairman of  Township  Multiparty
Democracy  General Election  Sub-commission U Than
Sein.
